Grass Jr. High School was replaced by 2 new middle schools which opened in 1997. Thus, Grass was destined for the wrecking ball. The Grass complex included the "Red Section" which was the red bricked former Sibley High School and the "White Building" which housed most of the Jr. High functions. The White building was reportedly built to accommodate additional construction of 3 more floors so it was no surprise to me that it took twice as long as anticipated to tear down. The gallery documents the demise of the complex in 2 shoots about 2 weeks apart. Film images scanned on the Epson flatbed scanner.
