What a fun shoot! This was my first trip to the Midwest Wireless Center and I was immediately impressed with the well-lit ice.  The box between the benches allows shooters to stand a few feet above the ice, creating a great shooting angle.  A 1/2 sheet of glass protects photographers from flying sticks and pucks.  The box did not provide much protection from the excited little girl who accidently threw her cowbell over the balcony during the 2nd Period, just missing me.  This rink is a little hard to get around quickly so sometimes the easiest way from Point A to Point B was to travel under the bleachers.  As I walked under the Student Section, I was greeted by the strong smell of beer.  Apparently MSU students spill as much as they drink!
