As usual, the atmosphere at the NHC was totally nuts. Apparently SCSU officials have not read the memo from the WCHA regarding cleaning up fan behavior. I refrained from publishing shots of the girls standing next to me on the glass who gave the finger and shouted "F**k you Gophers!" to any Gopher player who played the puck in the corner. Also note the usual dead Gophers and the promotional fan lights - complete with batteries - thrown on the ice at the conclusion of the game. Of course, they hand out these projectiles to fans as they arrive. Despite all this, the atmosphere at the NHC is one of the most electric in the WCHA and would be so even without the constant shouting of the "F-word" and post-game battery throwing.
